The horses climbed onto the hay-filled cart, their hearts pounding with a mix of excitement and trepidation. The cart jolted forward, pulled by a pair of sturdy draft horses. The path ahead was dark, lit only by the flickering lanterns hanging from the cart.
The ride began with a gentle sway as they left the familiar farmyard behind and ventured into the woods. The trees loomed tall and menacing, their branches casting eerie shadows. The hooting of an owl and the rustling of leaves added to the spooky ambiance.
Suddenly, a loud creak echoed through the woods, and the cart came to an abrupt stop. The horses and other animals on the ride held their breath, straining to see what lay ahead.
"Did you hear that?" Daisy whispered, her ears twitching.
Buck nodded, his eyes scanning the darkness. "Stay alert, everyone. This is where the fun begins."
Just then, a pair of glowing eyes appeared in the bushes, followed by a chilling howl. The horses jumped in surprise, but Buck quickly calmed them. "It's just part of the show. Remember, it's all make-believe."
As the cart moved forward, they encountered various spooky scenes: skeletons dancing in a clearing, ghostly figures drifting through the trees, and eerie sounds that seemed to come from nowhere. Star, determined to prove her bravery, kept her head high, though her ears flicked nervously at every sound.
