Chapter 7: The Circus Surprise
The excitement was palpable at Maplewood Farm. Bright posters announcing the arrival of the circus had been put up all over town, and the farm was abuzz with anticipation. Buck, Star, Daisy, and Thunder could hardly contain their enthusiasm. They had never been to a circus before and couldn’t wait to see what wonders awaited them.
The big day finally arrived. Farmer Jenkins had decided to take the horses along to the circus, knowing how much they loved new adventures. As they approached the circus grounds, the sights, sounds, and smells overwhelmed their senses. Colourful tents, the aroma of popcorn and cotton candy, and the lively music filled the air.
“This is amazing!” Daisy exclaimed, her eyes wide with wonder. “I want to see everything!”
Thunder, ever the gentle giant, nodded in agreement. “I’ve heard there are animals from all over the world here. I can’t wait to meet them.”
Star, ever the confident one, flicked her mane. “And I’m going to learn some new tricks from the performers!”
Buck smiled at his friends. “Let’s make the most of this day. Who knows what surprises await us?”
Their first stop was the animal exhibit.
The horses marvelled at the exotic creatures: elephants, lions, zebras, and even a playful monkey who swung from tree to tree. Daisy was particularly fascinated by the elephants, their size and grace captivating her.
