“This way!” Buck said, leading the group toward the oak tree.
When they arrived, they found a small, wooden box buried at the base of the tree. Inside was a piece of parchment with the next clue:
“Underneath the bale where the sun loves to rest, You’ll find the next hint on your treasure quest.”
“That must be the hay bales near the barn where the sun sets,” Star said, her eyes twinkling with excitement.
They trotted back to the barn and headed to the hay bales.
Sure enough, tucked beneath one of the bales, they found another box. This one contained a small compass and the next clue:
“Follow the compass north to the pond with the reeds, Where the ducks swim and quack, and the frogs sing their deeds.”
Daisy bounced with excitement. “The duck pond! Let’s go!”
They followed the compass north, making their way to the duck pond. The ducks quacked in greeting as they arrived. Near the water’s edge, hidden among the reeds, they found another box with the next clue:
“Climb to the hill where the wildflowers bloom, And there you will find your next hint to exhume.”
