Day 2 Our day begins with a trip to Castle Howard, one of Britain’s finest historic houses. This afternoon we head to the only major town in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, Helmsley. We spend the afternoon here to explore the quaint market town. Day 3 After a leisurely breakfast we head the short distance to the historic city of York. We have the day to explore this fascinating city with lots of attractions to keep you busy, such as the National Railway Museum, Jorvik Centre, the City Walls, the little streets and alleyways in the centre, not forgetting York Minster. Day 4 We make our way to Leyburn and visit Ceramic Inspirations, where a huge variety of items in all shapes and guises are produced. Next door is the Chocolate Shop where you can treat yourself to something chocolatey! Afterwards, we journey to Hawes where we visit the ‘Cheese Experience’ at the Wensleydale Creamery, home of Yorkshire’s famous cheese. Leaving Hawes, we head along the dale to Aysgarth and Bishopdale, over the hills to Upper Wharfedale and make a stop in Grassington. Day 5 Today is free for you to explore the pretty town of Harrogate. Enjoy a lovely stroll through beautiful Valley Gardens, explore the delightful Victoria arcades for some retail therapy.
