We’re excited to put together the first Kid Scoop News edition of the new school year! Going back to school is exciting, but it can also be a little scary. So, we’ve got pages and cartoons in this issue that will really help you if you find yourself (or others) in a disagreement with someone. Dear Friends, Happy September! I hope you’re settling into the new school year and ready for a fun month of learning. This month, we’re learning how to work through disagreements by listening, staying calm, and treating others with kindness. We’ll also discover the STEM behind baseball and how science and math are part of every pitch, swing, and home run! If you are anything like my family, you know Louisianans love a good day at the ballpark! We’re also learning why it’s never too early to save money—even a few dollars or coins in your piggy bank each month can add up! And here in Louisiana, we know how important it is to be prepared when storms come our way. You’ll learn what your family can do before a disaster and the importance of being prepared and helping our neighbors when they need us most. Lastly, while we may not find any unicorns roaming around Louisiana, they’re a fun reminder to use our imaginations, be creative, and never
