A Greenway is a recreational or pedestrian and cycling corridor for non-motorised journeys, developed in an integrated manner which enhances both the environ- ment and quality of life of the surrounding area. May be defined as open lands on the periphery of cities or larger towns whose development will require the provision of new infrastructure, roads, sewers and ancillary social and commercial facilities, schools, shops, employment and commu- nity facilities. Agreen roof or living roof is a roof of abuilding that is partially or completely covered with vegetation and a growing medium, planted over awaterproofing membrane. It may also include additional layers such as a root barrier anddrain- age and irrigation systems. Agreen wall is a wall partially or completely covered with greenery that includes a growing medium, such as soil or a substrate. Most green walls also feature an integrated water delivery system.
