Let’s give a big shout out to our 2023 Officers and Directors for all of their hard work, time and dedication to not only Metro but the building industry. They have devoted many hours and extensive conversations to helping our members gain the most out of their membership. I especially want to thank our President, Andrea LoMonaco for her initiative of ‘Collaboration’. It was her
dedication to that commitment, that drove us to co-host two events with BANNJ, and collaborate nationally with NAHB. Andrea invited the state rep from Texas, Tag Gilkeson to speak at our November General Membership Meeting and invited the 1st Vice Chair of NAHB Carl Harris to install our 2024 Directors in December. I will deeply miss her as President, but now she can enjoy her input as immediate Past President in 2024. 2023 has been an incredible year at Metro, we had over 26 events for our members to attend. Every committee was fully engaged this year and stepped it up with Metro’s ‘Year of Collaboration.’ I am looking forward to working with the incoming board and committee chairs in 2024 to keep the momentum going. The Awards of Excellence is approaching and the deadline for the ‘Early Bird’ entries is January 31st. So, start thinking about your projects and gathering your photos. Our entry process will be easier than ever with the updated online portal for all entries, which will make it easier for both our members and our judges.
