AF&PA Releases August 2022 Packaging Papers Monthly Report The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) re- leased its August 2022 Packaging Papers Monthly report. Total packaging papers & specialty packaging ship- ments in August remained essentially flat (-0.1 percent) compared to August 2021. They were essentially flat (+0.1 percent) when compared to the same eight months of 2021. The unbleached packaging papers operating rate was 94.4 percent, up 1.1 points from August 2021 and up 1.7 points year-to-date. Shipments of bleached food wrapping were 31,600 short tons for the month of August, down 2.1 percent year-to-date.
