To streamline the print process, SUN retrofitted the Spectrum Inside Print to NEWW’s existing 1986 Ward 2-color rotary die cutter. Able to be retrofitted to most machines, this single-pass system cut NEWW’s printing time significantly without requiring them to invest in com- pletely new equipment. The new in-house alterations also opened the door for NEWW to reimagine the unboxing ex- perience. The ability to efficiently print custom messaging and branding on both the inside and outside of each unit allowed NEWW to maximize brand consistency and recog- nition while delivering an exciting and engaging unboxing experience for the end consumer. Easily maintained with little-to-no setup required, the Spectrum setup comes equipped with the SunTrac® Vac- uum Transfer System for accurate sheet control, harmonic drive digital register for maintenance-free operation, and ColorMaster® blade system for controlling precise ink me- tering. NEWW also equipped their inside Spectrum print down with an interstation dryer from JB Machinery to allow for high quality print on multiple substrates.
