Residents and Beachwood Community Services Patrons, After one of the harshest winters in recent memory, it’s a pleasure to finally turn the page and look ahead to all the energy, connection, and fun that spring and summer bring to our community. Warmer days mean fuller calendars, and I’m excited to share what’s ahead in the Spring and Summer Recreation Guide. Last year, we introduced several new events that exceeded expectations, and I’m excited to announce that many are returning by popular demand. Cookout with Cops and Teen Night at the Courts were especially well attended and quickly became favorites among families and teens alike. Their success speaks to the strong relationships we continue to build across our community. We’re also proud to continue offering same-gender swimming, which has received overwhelming support and participation. Building on the enthusiasm around our aquatic programming, we’ve added an additional BFAC Pool Party Night, giving residents one pool party per month from June through August. Our senior community can look forward to a full slate of brand-new events designed to inform, entertain, and celebrate. These include Senior Ladies Tea – Derby Edition, Senior Taste & Cookbook, Senior Game Show, Senior Ice Cream Social, and the Senior Picnic & 50-Year Resident Celebration. One of the season’s highlights returns on June 19 with the Juneteenth Community Celebration. Now our second-most-attended event, Juneteenth, has become a signature gathering that brings Beachwood together to celebrate history, culture, and unity. I’d also like to recognize the incredible efforts of our Community Services Department, which is working diligently to support families this summer as the Beachwood School District finalizes construction of elementary schools. With an extended summer break, staff expanded camp offerings and added a T3 Sports Summer Sendoff Camp in response to high demand — ensuring families have flexible, high-quality options all season long. Finally, keep an eye out for our Playground Pop-Up events happening throughout the summer — bringing fun and community spirit to our amazing playground. I look forward to seeing you out enjoying everything Beachwood has to offer. Here’s to an active and memorable spring and summer. Sincerely,
