How effective are you in treating trismus and TMJ dysfunction? Dry needling can assist recovery. Dry needling is widely applied in the treatment of TMJD and Orofacial musculoskeletal conditions. Dentists are first line contact for TMJD and orofacial conditions. Detailed musculoskeletal and neural assessment of the TMJ and Orofacial muscles can lead to better outcomes with application of dry needling in pain management and release of trigger points.
