Well done to Ishka P, Artemis G, Luana S -W, Robyn Z-B, Emily S, Iona K, Chiara I, Shokria A and Taqwa A all from 8FBH. They submitted an entry to the French Institute for the French pop song competition. The music video that they created together was incredibly well done and very expertly produced. Congratulations on winning the regionals and for really throwing yourselves into the life of the school!
One of our very talented A Level art students Allira J has had her amazing painting of trees shortlisted for The Young Botanical Artist Competition 2023, in collaboration with the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Her work will be displayed in October in the Shirley Sherwood Gallery in Kew Gardens which holds the largest private collection of contemporary botanical art in the world.
Congratulations to Eleanor S in 7POR who, with the help of The Amber Trust charity, has achieved a Distinction in her London College of Music - Musical Theatre Grade 2 singing exam - scoring no less than 96 out of a possible 100!
This year’s Screen Your Story competition saw a huge number of entries. The prize? To have your story published in the fully illustrated collection, ‘Stories from the Young’, attend a Gala Presentation Ceremony and be in with the chance of having their story acted and filmed by a professional film crew. Huge congratulations go to Abby H in 7PWA and Anna D in 7FCO who were both shortlisted and attended the Gala Presentation Ceremony.
Well done to Lorelei in 7POR for earning a Distinction in her Lamda Musical Theatre Grade 2 exam.
