As part of their English studies into the Gothic genre, Year 9 students had the chance to visit Strawberry Hill House for a tour and workshop exploring the Gothic history behind this local building. Students have been studying Gothic literature as part of the KS3 syllabus in order to prepare them for the pre-19th Century element of the English GCSE course. As well as learning all about the history of the haunted place and the beginning of the Gothic era of literature, students also got the chance to dress up and have a go at writing their own Gothic literature.
