The DTP prepares doctoral students for their future careers through a rewarding programme of skills training, immersive opportunities and access to leading researchers across universities. This enables its doctoral students to address vital challenges and change the way that society, the environment and the economy work. Centre for Doctoral Training in Enhancing Human Interactions and Collaborations with Data and Intelligence Driven Systems Housed in the state-of-the-art Computational Foundry at Swansea University, with a mission to change the world via world-class research that focuses on amplifying human capabilities using data driven, and intelligence enabled systems. Successful candidates will be nurtured by multidisciplinary supervisors and work alongside a rich and diverse set of partners – including Facebook, Siemens, Tata Steel, NHS and Google. The Centre celebrates the importance of diverse perspectives in creating future AI and big data technologies that serve society effectively and welcome applications from anyone who feels they can help in the Centre’s mission. Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Advanced Computing (AIMLAC) AIMLAC aims to create the next generation of AI innovators across a broad range of STEMM disciplines focusing on three research themes: data from large science facilities; biological, health and clinical sciences; and novel mathematical, physical, and computer science approaches. Knowledge exchange and multidisciplinary working is at the heart of the CDT with a strong emphasis on cohort training, joint supervision, peer-to-peer interaction and student mentoring. Research projects are embedded within one of the themes, with supervisory support across themes, to develop new synergies. Applications are encouraged from candidates from a diverse background that can positively contribute to the future of our society.
