AICC Emerging Leaders (CONT’D FROM PAGE 18)

“One of the biggest improve- ments to the program is the control that the Emerging Leaders have taken of the program. Instead of the AICC creating events and programs and having members attend, now these Emerging Leaders are driving the program with our support, allow- ing them to have more participation and move further and faster,” D’Angelo added. Emerging leaders are young professionals, age 35 or younger, who are ready to make a commitment to their career in this industry and are prepared to invest and en- gage in their own professional development to become recognized leaders in their functional fields and within the industry. “An Emerging Leader is hungry for challenges and growth and joining the Emerging Leader program gives them opportunities to flex and train those muscles so they’re ready when it comes time for advancement in their career,” said Brettschneider. “These are people looking at where they want to be and aren’t going to be complacent in getting there.” Spotting a candidate for Emerging Leaders is easy be- cause these are the “go-getters” in your company. They have our full support and we are very pleased with the improvements for this program.”
