ENHANCING THE LIVES OF THOSE WE TOUCH ®

A MESSAGE FROM CEO JERRY FELTON

It’s What You Do with the Compensation Plan

The Melaleuca Compensation Plan is extraordinary! And while its power to change lives is unmatched, it’s what you do with the Compensation Plan that will make a profound difference to you and your family. It’s available to everyone. When you apply your passion, determination, and commitment to Melaleuca’s Seven Critical Business-Building Activities, you can take full advantage of the true power of the Compensation Plan and help others do the same. Regardless of your background, your self-perceived strengths or weaknesses, or your experience, persistently doing the work really does make all the difference. As a boy, my passion was baseball. Like many young kids, my dream was to become a professional baseball player. My favorite team? The Cincinnati Reds. My heroes? Johnny Bench, Pete Rose, George Foster, and Ken Griffey. We’d take on the names and numbers of our favorite players when we played baseball in the empty lot next door or the big yard down the block. We played all the time! I always had a ball and a glove close to me. And as I got a little older, any free time I had was spent at the baseball park, either playing with my team or watching others play. When I was 10, I had an experience I’ve often reflected upon. I was finally trying out for the Youth Major League. The league consisted of 10-, 11-, and 12-year-old boys who were

required to try out before being drafted onto a team. I was drafted to the Cherokees! I was so excited that I spent my entire savings on some fancy new Puma cleats and a brand-new baseball glove. I was so proud of that glove! It was black with a cool webbed pocket and a single hole in the back where you could leave your index finger outside of the glove. I remember it was a Rawlings—one of their newest models, just my size, made of genuine leather. Now I was ready. I showed up at the Cherokees’ first practice. Many of the kids were strangers to me and had been playing on the team for a few years already. The 12-year-old kids seemed so much bigger, and certainly better. One of the older boys stood out to me. His name was Nathan. He wore raggedy clothes, he didn’t have cleats, and his baseball glove was small and tattered. The stitching was broken in a couple of places, and one of the fingers wasn’t connected to the others. I remember that distinctly because I wondered how in the world anyone could catch a ball with that glove. I felt sorry for Nathan and assumed he spent most of his time sitting on the bench. By the looks of things, I figured he couldn’t have been that good.

I was so wrong! As I watched him play, I was amazed at his athletic skill! That tattered glove was simply an extension of

his hand. It was like a vacuum. He caught everything! He threw the ball with ease, and he could hit as well as he could catch. By

committed to doing those activities. They are the proven activities required to grow a successful Melaleuca business.

the end of that first practice, I learned that Nathan was not only the best player on the team but also a two-year all-star! Nathan loved baseball. He was completely committed to practicing and playing all the time, and it showed. I discovered with my new team that it isn’t the glove or the cleats or the bat that makes the player. Sure, it’s important to have the right tools, but it’s what the player does with those tools that makes them great. I also learned that consistent, repetitive practice of the required skills is what allows a player to grow and become better. It is their love of the game and their continued execution of the right activities that allows them to excel—even with a small, old, and tattered baseball glove. During the last several months, we’ve made some significant enhancements to the Melaleuca Compensation Plan. That Compensation Plan has paid families nearly $6.9 billion to date. And it continues to get better and better. As the company has grown, and as we have become stronger and stronger, we’ve made consistent investments in our products, our systems, our facilities, our equipment, and our people. We are deeply committed to investing in our future, and our investment in the Compensation Plan is no exception. As with playing baseball, the Compensation Plan will work hardest for you when you consistently put your effort into the Seven Critical Business-Building Activities. The new Critical Activity Bonus was created to reward everyone

They are the activities that help others discover Melaleuca. And they are the activities that will help anyone achieve financial wellness. The tens of thousands of Marketing Executives who have successfully improved their financial wellness through Melaleuca’s Compensation Plan will tell you that there is no secret to their success. They will tell you that it’s their passion, their commitment, and their consistent practice and repetition that bring the Compensation Plan to life. Yes, challenges and failures will come—that’s normal with any business. But keep the glove on, keep your eye on the ball, and continue to engage in the difference-making Critical Activities each day. As you do that, you will help others discover Melaleuca and your business will flourish. Financial wellness and the power to change lives are within your control. They’ve never been more attainable than they are right now. Now is the time to take control of your business. Now is the time to share Melaleuca. And now is the time to leverage the power of the Compensation Plan and make a real difference in your life. I challenge you to take control today!

EXECUTIVE MESSAGES

If you want to grow, YOU’VE GOT TO STAY CONNECTED! Here’s a question to wrestle with: What big goals are you chasing right now?

I’d like you to take a moment to think about the direction you’re taking your life and how your goals are helping you get there. We’re all chasing something. But when it comes to living the life we want to live, we all need help from others. Why? Because reaching big goals is never easy. Sometimes Instagram and TikTok can seduce us into believing others have conquered life all on their own. We see someone receiving a prestigious award and think they must be superhuman. And we may be left wondering, Why can’t I do that? Why don’t I have all those talents? Well, here’s the reality: no one gets there by themselves. You may see only one person receiving theapplause, but it’s what you don’t see that made the difference for them. Who is that person connected to? That’s the real story. It’s what you don’t see. It was a beautiful Wednesday morning, and I was hiking through the Corcovado National Park in Costa Rica with the

Melaleuca President’s Club earners. We walked carefully in a single file down the winding, muddy trail. It had rained earlier, but that was to be expected. After all, we were in a rain forest that gets 197 inches of rain per year. Our guide’s name was David, and he gave us specific instructions to never put our hands on a tree or a plant because of the risk of hidden insects or snakes. You could tell David loved nature. Asking him a few questions, I learned that he had a business degree from a local university and wanted to get his MBA. I asked him why he was working as a park guide when he had a degree in business. The answer he gave struck me. He told me that with his job he was always learning. He said that the Corcovado National Park is a treasure—and that, as a guide, he gets to help people discover just how special its beautiful ecosystem really is. Up in the canopies there are still species that haven’t been discovered yet! The place is always changing. It’s always evolving. No day is the same as the one before. Every day there is new growth.

A little way into our hike, David taught our group an unforgettable lesson. He had us stop, close our eyes, and just listen for 30 seconds. The real story of what’s going on in the forest, he explained, is never about what you see. It’s what you don’t see. To prove his point, he brought us to the base of a tall tree with branches spreading out over us and massive, red buttress roots expanding from the trunk and radiating over the forest floor. This large tree was surrounded by smaller trees, ferns, and hundreds of other types of plants. It was an amazing sight! And yet the real story was what we couldn’t see. As big as this tree was, it was even bigger below ground! Its roots spread out wide and deep beneath our feet. David explained that its roots were red because they were providing water and other important nutrients to other plants and trees. This one buttress tree was connected with all of the vegetation surrounding it. Those connections were vital to its growth and vital to the growth of each surrounding plant and tree. CONTINUED

EXECUTIVE MESSAGES

Growth requires connection. What’s my point in relating this experience in the rain forest? It’s simply this: growth requires connection. As you work to achieve your goals, there are times when you need more nutrients and water from those around you. At other times you have extra to give to others. So who’s connected with you? What is the vital difference they’re making—or could be making—in your growth?

Ready to grow? Get an accountability partner! We all have them: people in our lives who inspire us to be better. That’s great, and we need them! But I’m talking about taking that up a notch and formalizing the relationship—making it intentional. Here’s how you can do it.

YOUR ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNER TO-DO LIST Follow these instructions every 90 days!

Who should your accountability partner be? Make sure they know you need them to hold you accountable.

1

2

Share your goal with them.

Tell them you can’t grow alone. Let them know you need their help for 90 days.

3

Decide on the best ways they can hold you accountable. How often? What’s your preferred way to communicate?

4

This is important: be careful who you share your goals with! Only trust your goals with someone who wants you to be better than you are today—and only partner with someone who won’t let you slack off. For example, imagine you’re working on a weight loss goal. You find yourself at a restaurant finishing a delicious, healthy meal, and then the dessert cart goes by. Boy, that cheesecake looks tempting! You sit there for a moment deciding

whether to stick to your plan or splurge. Finally, in a quandary, you text Faye, your accountability partner. This is an important text! How Faye responds could make or break your efforts to lose weight. Does she just tell you to go ahead—you deserve it? Or does she remind you of the goal you’ve set, congratulate you for your success so far, urge you to stick to your plan, and give you some much-needed encouragement?

If Faye does the latter, she’s exactly the accountability partner you need. Just be

ready to do the same in return! I’m going to leave you with an assignment. Drop me a note at

djohnson@melaleuca.com and let me know how increased accountability is changing things in your life. I’d love to hear your story!

A Conversation with Melaleuca Executive Chairman Frank VanderSloot We Have the Solution!

14 OCTOBER 2022 | MELALEUCA.COM

For years our founder, Frank VanderSloot, has provided valuable foresight on the state of the economy to help us better prepare for what is to come. He accurately predicted the dot-com bubble and the 2008 housing market crash several months before they occurred and long before national economists were talking about them. And just last year Frank predicted that we would see inflation like we’ve never experienced before. At the time of Frank’s prediction all the pundits and media were telling us that inflation was just going to be “transitory” (meaning temporary). Of course, we now know that Frank was absolutely correct and the pundits were absolutely wrong! Frank is quick to point out that he’s not an economic guru, nor does he have a crystal ball; he simply uses his knowledge of macroeconomics coupled with statistics and common sense to see around corners—and to prepare for what’s inevitably coming. The fact of the

matter is that Frank will always give it to you straight. We recently sat down with Frank to get his most recent take on the economy and what he believes we should prepare for in the near future. And those who are paying attention will be equipped to thrive during a time of future economic uncertainty!

Why do you believe it is important to know which way the economy is heading?

I feel that it is our responsibility to take charge of our own lives and prepare the best we can for whatever comes our way. I don’t believe that the government—no matter how good the intentions—is going to take care of us. If we can anticipate what’s coming, we can be better prepared. If we know what’s coming, we can make better decisions of where to spend our time. It’s like driving

size is up. Retention is up. And commissions are up. COVID did take a toll in some countries, like China for example. But our people are resilient! In fact, although China was hit hard, it is already back to producing the same revenues that it was producing prior to COVID-19. Our message of repeat income is resonating with people. And since COVID is here to stay, maintaining a healthy immune system remains paramount in people’s lives. Melaleuca has the solution to that!

a car: if we can see around the corners, we can know when to speed up and when to slow down or perhaps change directions or even find a better path.

The historic inflation we’ve seen over the past year is not temporary, nor is it “transitory” like the US administration told us it was going to be. Contrary to what they had been telling us, inflation is here to stay for a while. It’s going to be part of our lives. And, unfortunately, if the government keeps pumping dollars into the economy, we will see more inflation. It’s economics 101! If you throw money into the economy, someone is going to spend it. That creates demand. When demand goes up, prices go up accordingly. Business students learn this lesson literally on the first day of economics class. It’s pretty amazing that the political pundits told us all last year not to worry about inflation

How has the COVID-19 pandemic affected Melaleuca?

Melaleuca is flourishing around the world. COVID-19 has been with us for over two years now. The first year of COVID treated

when they were pumping trillions of dollars into the

economy. We knew they were wrong when they were saying it, and it’s proven to be wrong now. And as long as they keep passing bills like the Inflation Reduction Act, inflation is going to continue to increase. We might see a few temporary drops in the price of gas because of some short-term manipulations, but I suspect

Like everyone else, inflation has affected us as well. We’ve had a few price increases. Fortunately, however, we’ve been able to hold price increases to a much lower level than the national average of inflation.

Melaleuca very well. People were anxious to strengthen their immune systems, and they discovered what we have here at Melaleuca. So we had our best growth year ever in the United States and Canada in 2020 which created our best revenue year in 2021. The average order

the home at the price they paid for it, they are going to learn that they must greatly reduce the price in order to sell it. Since new homes will be almost impossible to sell at what they cost to build, builders will stop building new homes. And, of course, the demand for building materials will decrease rapidly. Therefore, we predict the price of building materials will also come down. And, unfortunately, hundreds of thousands of workers in the construction industry are going to be laid off. The next six months will not be a good time to buy a new home. I would wait several months until home prices and building costs come down. And I think they will come down rapidly over the next six months. There may be a few localities that are an exception, but overall, housing prices and building materials are going to come down.

purchase only a $290,000 home. A $290,000 home is a far cry from a $440,000 home! To sell a home in today’s market, the seller will have to greatly reduce the price so that buyers can afford it. At first, homeowners are going to be reluctant to do that. But their homes won’t sell until they do. So the number of homes on the market will begin to grow rapidly. As homeowners learn that they can no longer sell

they’re going to go right back up. As long as the government prevents oil companies from drilling for oil, gas prices will continue to stay high.

What about the price of homes?

Home prices are another story altogether. While prices of consumer goods and hard goods will continue to remain high, housing prices are going to come tumbling down thanks to high interest rates. An $80,000 annual household income qualifies a potential homeowner for a house payment of $2,300 per month. When interest rates were 2.5%, $2,300 per month would purchase a $440,000 home. But with interest rates at 6.7%, $2,300 per month will

OCTOBER 2022 | MELALEUCA.COM 17

What about food prices?

China, Europe, and the United States are all experiencing serious droughts, resulting in food shortages. I believe we will continue to see an increase in food prices around the world. These might be substantial. It is difficult to project until this year’s harvest is complete. Then we will know for sure; but be prepared for food to cost more.

What about wages and employment?

definition of recession that has existed for the last hundred years (that is, two consecutive quarters of a reduction in GDP), the US is now experiencing a recession. But times are so crazy that the government and the media won’t call it that. Regardless of what you call it, the economy is rapidly slowing down.

Are we in a recession?

Last month the US government changed the definition of the word recession so that they can say, “We are not in a recession.” Unbelievably, the news media is going along with the new definition. According to the

That’s a more difficult question. Just a few months ago, employers could not find enough workers. There has been a real shortage of workers. I believe that is going to change. There have already been thousands of layoffs around the country, and as the economy slows there are going to be more layoffs. People are going to be looking for work. Wages are definitely not going to keep up with inflation. That is for certain! Since there are going to be more workers available, employers will not have to increase wages to hire people. (You will note that Melaleuca has not announced any layoffs, and we will not.) Overall, it appears we may find ourselves in a very

those tough times. And neither do your friends and family. We need to let them know about the opportunities that Melaleuca provides for extra income. Statement that will always lead to success: Enhancing the lives of those we touch by helping people reach their goals SM . People want to have a good life! Melaleuca can provide both—a healthier life and financial resources! As people discover Melaleuca, our people and our company will continue to prosper. When you think about it, that is quite exciting! We really do have the solution!

What does this mean for Melaleuca?

While none of this is good for our country, the important thing for people to realize is that they can choose, for their own household, not to participate in the recession. With the economy slowing down, people will need a plan B. They will need extra income. Melaleuca has the solution to that! Melaleuca has a tremendous ability to generate substantial monthly income. It’s everything MLM can’t be. That’s why I feel so confident about showing the real parts of my life to inspire others. I don’t ever want a stay-at-home mom or dad to look at what I’ve done and think, ‘Gosh, I could never do that.’ Here’s the thing about building a business from home: balance happens in moments. Are you going to have a spotless kitchen or are you going to help change some lives today? You’ve got to look at both sides of it.” If Brittney has a business cornerstone, it is engraved with two words: focus and flexibility. Those are two business-building principles that she freely shares with everyone. “You have to engage with your business—that’s the focus,” she explains. “But it doesn’t have to be at a set time every day. You can build it in those free pockets of your day.” With Melaleuca, that is possible. Melaleuca makes having a life and building a business compatible. “You can do it,” Brittney assures her team. “There’s always a story behind the glory.” “The closer you look at Melaleuca, the better it gets,” Brittney says. “Every time you open another door, you’re amazed by the integrity, the leadership, the heart, and the community.” Like a strong marriage where two people strengthen, encourage, and support each other, Melaleuca and its business builders who share it with the world are one terrific team. TP

Not long ago, Brittney had no faith in Melaleuca or herself. “The MLM industry had eaten me up, and I felt like a total failure,” she explains. “So stepping into Melaleuca, I was skeptical and scared, but I leaned in with blind faith and took massive action. I knew God brought me here, so I got to work and brought some of my lifelong friends with me. Today we are truly living our dreams!” Brittney discovered that Melaleuca aligned perfectly with her abundance mindset. “If you believe that you’re worthy and that you can do it, nothing will ever stop you. There is a reason you have that dream in your heart. It’s your calling in life to cultivate that and never give up, even when you want to.” With those thoughts in mind, Brittney continued to help her team members achieve all that Melaleuca makes possible. Communication and honesty are foundational to the success of any relationship, and that is also true of the relationship between Melaleuca and the business builders who focus on changing lives and thereby transform their own. “We’re honest about our real lives,” Brittney says of the typical family chaos that hums along with every phone call and meeting. “Melaleuca is for real.

It’s a noble business model.” Shawn hopes that those who know his story—from Leadership in Action readers to his own children—understand that hard work is what makes reaching your goals possible. When you commit to success, there are no shortcuts. Focus on the work and the results will follow.

From his hotel room in Tulum, Mexico, Shawn shared a piece of wisdom to anyone who needs it: don’t worry about the results; just worry about the activities in your control. That's a lesson he learned personally. Shawn’s previous Melaleuca advancements happened in a rhythm he came to predict. However, this advancement disrupted the rhythm he thought he had mastered. All Marketing Executives experience this in their Melaleuca career at one time or another. Though temporarily frustrated with his seeming lack of progress, Shawn never gave up on engaging in the Seven Critical Business-Building Activities. The activity that ultimately made the difference in this advancement was consistently enrolling new Members and developing new Directors. “Consistency is what made this advancement happen,” he says. “You have a lot more control over your own enrollment activities compared to motivating others on your team.” The trip Shawn earned to Tulum through dedicated hard work was extraordinary. “Melaleuca puts on an event like nobody I’ve ever seen,” he says. Like his advancement, the trip to Tulum was

EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS 5 NEW ADVANCEMENTS

Raquel & Dennis Jacinto ILLINOIS There’s No Better Feeling Than Helping Others

Dennis coached her along the way, seeing each of her successes as his own. Lovely is now a Senior Director 8. “The income has changed her life,” Dennis says. “She has more time with her children. She can be with them as they grow.” Any Marketing Executive will experience rates of seemingly slower growth and frustrations in the business-building process. Dennis has experienced that himself and has coached his team members through such times. “We all experience rejection, discouragement, and frustration from time to time,” he says. “Whatever experiences we have, we must be consistent. It’s not about what we’re going through. It’s about how we overcome it.” Dennis has a profound understanding of challenges—they are necessary to build the belief and credibility that your team needs. “You need challenges or you’ll never have a good testimony that inspires others. You need challenges to show others that they aren’t alone and that leaders never quit.” With his loving leadership, Dennis has helped his team work consistently and enjoy the successes that fuel his love for Melaleuca. LH

Throughout their Melaleuca career, Dennis and Raquel Jacinto’s why has evolved. As with many new Marketing Executives, their initial goals were to help their family’s health with Melaleuca’s products and to get ahead financially with repeat income created by introducing others to life-changing products. Now Executive Directors 5, the Jacintos have found that their reason for building a Melaleuca business has changed entirely. Their focus is entirely on helping others. They truly embody Melaleuca’s Mission Statement: Enhancing the lives of those we touch by helping people reach their goals SM . “There’s no better feeling than helping others,” Dennis says. “If my customers are happy and reach their goals, then I am happy; that is my mission in life.” One example of a team member who Dennis has helped is Lovely McNulty. Dennis has known her for years and saw her struggle when she was a single mother. “I really wanted to help her,” he says. She enrolled on his team in 2020 and has worked diligently, determined to create repeat income that can help her family.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR 2 NEW ADVANCEMENTS

Ron Lyons CALIFORNIA Careful Coaching Creates Long-Term Success

Ron loves that enhancing the lives of others is an integral part of his own success with Melaleuca. “I’m a digital marketer,” he says. “I work with solar energy providers, dentists, real estate agents, and more, helping them market their businesses. I’ve helped a lot of companies move forward and increase their revenues. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished—but there’s not much depth to that success. “With Melaleuca, on the other hand, I’m able to impact lives for the better. Recently, a woman reached out to me. She had young kids and was struggling financially. Her ex-husband was making her life even more difficult. I helped her enroll with Melaleuca and then worked closely with her to build a Director business on a Pacesetter time frame. When she saw the check she earned from her efforts, she broke down into tears. It meant so much to her and her family!” To Ron, those small successes mean everything. And in no way are they more meaningful than with his own daughter. “Advancing to Director 7 has made such a massive difference in her confidence as a leader!” he says. “She’s only 19 years old. It’s amazing to witness what Melaleuca offers my daughter, her friends and business partners, and many others in her generation. Their experiences building their Melaleuca businesses will impact their lives for years to come.” JC

Ron Lyons’s ability to coach and mentor his business partners has been a key driving force behind his advancement to Executive Director 2 and the consistent growth for those on his team. As a seasoned entrepreneur with decades of experience as an executive chef in high-end restaurants, Ron knows how to find the hidden strengths in everyone he meets. When a customer decides to build a Melaleuca business, Ron goes to work—giving them a framework for their daily efforts that focuses on the Seven Critical Business-Building Activities and that is fully duplicable as they begin developing leaders of their own. Ron also relies on Melaleuca’s Coaching & Leader Development team. “I don’t always have all the time I want to spend with each business builder,” he says. “But I know the Regional Directors will always have my back. They are mentors my team can connect with at any time. They get on many of our team calls, sharing product knowledge, encouragement, and support. They also spend time coaching my team members on the proven activities needed to build a robust business and increase retention.”

LEADERSHIP Through the Years EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS 2 Joan & Philip Giocondi F L O R I D A

“Our job is to listen to their needs and meet them where they are—and then begin pouring our belief into them.”

Enrollment Date: February 1997

Personal Enrollees’ Earnings: $1,616,758 Monthly Repeat Income: $4,557 Members in Organization: 1,017 Directors in Organization: 30

You Don’t Have to Build This Alone Philip and Joan Giocondi have been building their Melaleuca business for more than two decades. Much has

“All three of our sons understand integrity and leading by example,” Phil says. “And they’ve taken everything they’ve observed and have become successful in their own right!” “Our association with Melaleuca has brought hope and positivity into our home,” Joan adds. “Our boys have seen how this company really demonstrates caring for every person. They live by the Melaleuca Mission Statement even though many of the companies they’ve worked for don’t have clear mission statements of their own. They look for ways to enhance lives wherever they go.” “We’re so proud of what they’ve become,” Phil says. So what’s the one lesson the Giocondis want to pass on? “You don’t have to build this alone,” Joan says. “Make your Melaleuca business the most rewarding it can be. Find the people you want to spend your life with, and build it together.”

“A person we’ve enrolled isn’t always ready to start a business or move forward as quickly as we believe they can,” Joan adds. “Our job is to listen to their needs and meet them where they are—and then begin pouring our belief into them.” Helping others develop their skills and confidence hasn’t just helped their own business grow. This process has also yielded lifelong friends. Those relationships have provided fulfillment and happiness that no amount of earnings could ever match. But even those relationships aren’t what Phil and Joan are most grateful for. When the Giocondis first started building their Melaleuca business, their oldest son was barely in his teens. Now all three of their sons are in their 30s! Each grew up watching Mom and Dad work tirelessly every day. That’s a legacy they both feel incredibly blessed to have left.

changed since they got started! Time and time again, life has pulled them out of their comfort zones. But they’ve learned many invaluable lessons, large and small, along the way. One lesson learned is to focus on helping others reach their goals. “Success here isn’t about what you accomplish; it’s about what you help others accomplish,” Joan says. Every Melaleuca business builder learns this eventually. And no leaders exemplify it better than the Giocondis. “Over the years, we’ve learned to focus on the activity and not on the results,” Phil says. “I want everyone to move forward, but I’ve learned that it has to be at their own pace. I have to manage my own expectations.”

WITH THE NEW COMPENSATION PLAN ENHANCEMENTS! ELF A RAISE

In the Take Control Now! livestream on September 6, the Melaleuca Management Team announced the following enhancements to the Compensation Plan. As a result of the new Compensation Plan enhancements, thousands of Marketing Executives will see their checks increase from making the Critical Activity Bonus available to even more businesses and making it even easier to achieve Pacesetter Bonuses. Here are the details on these exciting changes:

Enhancement #1: Pacesetter Bonus The Pacesetter Bonuses for Director and Director 2 have increased! Reaching Director and then advancing through the Director statuses is so important to the success of a Melaleuca business that we have increased the Pacesetter Bonus for Director from $200 to $300 and the Pacesetter Bonus for Director 2 from $400 to $600! And of course, that means Mentoring Bonuses will match these higher amounts as you help others achieve their goals on Pacesetter schedule. This change replaces the Right Start Bonus.

Enhancement #2: Pacesetter Timing

The current Pacesetter Program gives new Marketing Executives two months following the month of enrollment to advance to Director and one more month for each advancement through Director 9, then two months to advance to Senior Director on Pacesetter time frame. After reviewing data, we’ve learned that Directors 9 don’t need that extra month. However, the biggest jump in the Pacesetter Program is from Director 3 to Director 4, where the Compensation Plan asks you to develop your second Director

Enhancement #4: Critical Activity Bonus Enhancements for Senior Directors and Above As a reminder, this is what the requirements for the Critical Activity Bonus looked like for Senior Directors and above before the September 6 announcements: 1. Achieve a personal customer retention rate of 90% or higher 2. Enroll an average of two new Members a month over a three-month period 3. Develop a new personal Director in the last three months (or develop a Director 3 and double the bonus!) 4. Have new growth in their organization in the current month or grow their Personally Enrolled Customers by at least one in the current month Some Marketing Executives have struggled to determine exactly how many personal enrollments they need each month to grow their number of personally enrolled customers. That information often isn’t there until the end of the month, which doesn’t leave much time to take action. We’re improving this scenario now. Beginning immediately, when a Senior Director or above enrolls an average of FOUR new Members a month over a three- month period (rather than two), the growth requirement (requirement number 4 above) is waived. That counts for the regular Critical Activity Bonus AND the doubled Critical Activity Bonus. And, in addition to that, developing a new Director 4–Senior Director will fulfill the Director requirement for the regular Critical Activity Bonus.
