CELEBRATION & EVENTS
OWN YOUR STORY
On August 12 and 13, 2022, ADVANCE Regional Conference was hosted at Melaleuca Global Headquarters in Idaho Falls, Idaho. This life-changing event includes Convention-like coaching, product training, and energy in a two-day event designed to both celebrate and educate. Just like Convention, every ADVANCE meeting is a unique opportunity to learn how to grow your business and celebrate your success. The Saturday session began with Darrin Johnson, Senior Vice President of Sales, asking attendees to recognize that each of their Melaleuca journeys is a story. “What story are you writing for your life right now?” he asked. “Melaleuca has a great story, and you are the team that is Melaleuca.” GREAT STORIES National Director 9 Brooke Paulin shared her own story, including her struggles and her journey to finding Melaleuca and building a successful Melaleuca business. She encouraged the attendees to think about why they were at ADVANCE that day. “You might hear a story that you’ll resonate with,” she said. And like every great story, Brooke’s has had its share of challenges. “I did a lot of things wrong,” she admitted, “but I didn’t quit. I remained consistent, and that saved my family.” “Be proud of what you do,” she said. “Are you passionate about business, helping moms, or health? Do that.” Melaleuca must be about more than money. It’s a lifestyle. “So step up and be healthy—you work for a wellness company! Consistency is what transforms average into excellence.” Executive Director 9 Brittney McLaughlin took the stage to talk about developing leaders. She emphasized that leaders must be the ones to go first. They lead by example and must always be enrolling. “I never tell my team to do things I’m not doing,” she said. “Your team will do 50% of what you do, so cast your vision by your actions.” She advised the attendees to focus on achieving 20/20
Club and Director every month, to be honest about numbers, and to do the work with their team. “Sprint with those who want to sprint and walk with those who want to walk,” she said, emphasizing that you can’t force your Directors to become leaders. Some of them won’t want to go beyond Director, but strong leaders will identify themselves. “Leaders take action now,” she said. She counseled to not spend too much time on social media but instead to talk to people
