Volunteers get the opportunity to learn about community resources and to participate in trainings and presentations that promote personal growth. Pre-service training includes topics such as services offered by PCOA, signs of elder abuse and how to report it, keeping healthy boundaries, how to engage others in positive conversation, fun correspondence ideas, and computer tablet training. Check out the most recent training topics: • Understanding Dementia • Fraud, Scams, and Identity Theft • Mental Health First Aid • Community Emergency Response Systems • Medicare • ALTCS • Hospice Care vs. Palliative Care
