HAPPY PAINTING WORKSHOP
This is not a sip-and-paint class. No skills are required, and you will leave the class with a matted and framed original painting. Register for class at the Lifestyle | Events Calendar or on the FT App on the “EVENTS” tile. 2025 CLASSES - ALL ARE WELCOME Our next gathering of the Artisan Crafters is on Friday, February 7, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM in the art room of the Community Center in Rio Verde. Wed. March 12th | 12:30 to 3:30 PM |Multi-purpose Rm| $40 pp for each class. Pay the instructor directly. ARTISAN CRAFTERS SWAP MEET Are you a crafter? Even if you’re NOT a crafter! Do you have supplies you have purchased for various projects and never used or “stuff” lying around the house you don’t know what to do with? We have a solution! Clear out your stash, lighten your load, stop letting it weigh you down, and stifle your creativity. We will hold our Annual Crafters Swap Meet on April 11 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM in the Rio Verde Community Center's art room. AGEING IN PLACE Mar.12 | 3:30 PM | Clubhouse - Acacia Ballroom Vicki Beseke, founder of VerdeCares, will speak about planning aging in place. Please come and learn how to plan for now and future needs, which can assist with maintaining your independence at home. This event is complimentary. Registration is required. SHERRY KENNEY AUTHOR TONTO TW0-STEP Mar. 13 | 3:30 PM | Clubhouse-Acacia Ballroom Sherry Kenney, author of The Tonto Two-Step, will discuss her debut novel, a cozy mystery set in Tonto Verde. In addition to sharing her journey into the world of fiction writing, she will discuss how to develop believable characters, how to maintain a point of view, and how to show – not tell – the story. Registration is required. ART TOUR March 18, 2025, | Meet in the courtyard of the Community Church of the Verdes Campus stained glass, wood carvings, tapestries, oil paintings, watercolors, fiber wall hangings, mission architecture, and more will be viewed and discussed with your guide.
