Fairy Crocodile Book

A Tale of Eternal Love

3

Nari, the fairy, became the island of Mahé, her form soft and rolling, full of lush greenery and gentle slopes. Rokar, the crocodile, became a rocky islet, his jagged form rising from the sea, always close to Nari but forever separated by the waters that surrounded them. To this day, the people of Seychelles say that the unique shape of the islands and the rocks that rise from the sea are a reminder of the fairy and the crocodile’s love—forever near, yet tragically apart. Their story is whispered by the waves and echoed by the winds, a tale of forbidden love and eternal longing, woven into the very fabric of the Seychelles landscape.
