WHAT IS THE CAMP’S MISSION AND PHILOSOPHY? At Curious Jane, the experience is all about building confidence through making things. In other words… thinking with your hands! All our projects revolve around science + engineering + design. WHAT SAFETY MEASURES ARE IN PLACE? Staff are trained in CPR / First Aid and review all camper health information prior to camp. Campers are required to provide a standard health form and health insurance information. WHAT IS THE CAMPER-TO- COUNSELOR RATIO? 4:1 HOW ARE STAFF MEMBERS SCREENED AND TRAINED? We create amazing staff groups for each Curious Jane location. The Director ovesees camp; Instructors lead the classes, and Counselors assist in a thousand ways. IS THERE A DAILY SCHEDULE, AND CAN YOU PROVIDE AN EXAMPLE? 8:30-8:45am: Camp Drop Off 8:45-9:00: Greeting with cheer! 9:00-10:00: Project 1 10:00-10:30: Snack / Outdoor 10:30-12:00: Project 2 12:00: Lunch 12:30-1:15pm: All Camp Collaborative WHAT IS THE CAMP’S MISSION AND PHILOSOPHY? Core values are respect, responsibility, and community. DA’s Summer Program offers differentiated instruction and summer fun for students with varied learning profiles, including those with dyslexia and ADHD, grades 1-12. WHAT SAFETY MEASURES ARE IN PLACE? Denver Academy is a secure campus with fencing and gates, a keycard locking system, and security cameras. Off-duty Denver Police Dept. officers are on campus. Medical & emergency forms required. WHAT IS THE CAMPER-TO- COUNSELOR RATIO? 15 campers to 2 counselors/teachers background check. Classes and camps are taught by Denver Academy- trained teachers. Classes and camps are offered from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with some camps offered until 4:30 p.m. Schedule is based on class/camp registration. HOW ARE STAFF MEMBERS SCREENED AND TRAINED? All staff members undergo a

Yes during snack and all camp collaborative there are opportunities for siblings and friends from other classes to connect and play. HOW DOES THE CAMP HANDLE HEALTH ISSUES AND ALLERGIES? If your child has medications, allergies or any additional physical, mental or emotional health needs we should know about – please upload to our client portal. ARE THERE OPPORTUNITIES FOR PARENTS TO VISIT OR PARTICIPATE IN CAMP ACTIVITIES? No there are not. Both of our camp locations - Graland Country Day School and Aspen Academy - are gated and secure campuses and parents are not allowed to visit midday.

ARE THERE OPPORTUNITIES FOR FREE PLAY OR DOWNTIME? We will have scheduled brain breaks for art, games, and other activities during each class. We understand that students learn best when they are active and engaged. HOW DOES THE CAMP HANDLE HEALTH ISSUES AND ALLERGIES? We require all medical forms and emergency contact forms to be completed for students to enter our campus. DA’s Director of Summer Programs will coordinate health issues/ allergy concerns with parents. ARE THERE OPPORTUNITIES FOR PARENTS TO VISIT OR PARTICIPATE IN CAMP ACTIVITIES? Yes, some classes/camps include performances or parent participation. There is also a student/parent/teacher social gathering on the last day of the program.
