Gold Crown Foundation Sports Camps
WHAT IS THE CAMP’S MISSION AND PHILOSOPHY? Educating youth and community through sports and enrichment programs. We focus on skill work, player development, and a fun experience. Campers learn life lessons on and off the court. WHAT SAFETY MEASURES ARE IN PLACE? Campers check-in each day and are placed on teams for the week. Water breaks are available throughout the camp and an onsite Athletic Trainer is also present. WHAT IS THE CAMPER-TO- COUNSELOR RATIO? 1:8 coach to camper ratio. To ensure quality coaching takes place, we keep coaching ratios low. HOW ARE STAFF MEMBERS SCREENED AND TRAINED? Coaches are first interviewed by a programs director, then complete a background check. Other online trainings consist of concussion training, mental health, and safe sport.
IS THERE A DAILY SCHEDULE, AND CAN YOU PROVIDE AN EXAMPLE? Each day includes warm-ups, demonstrations, skill stations, contests, scrimmages and games. The final day includes a camp-wide tournament. Camp concludes with an awards ceremony daily. HOW DOES THE CAMP HANDLE HEALTH ISSUES AND ALLERGIES? Please mark on the registration form. At check-in speak with our directors and athletic trainer about any health concerns or allergies during check-in to set up a plan. ARE THERE OPPORTUNITIES FOR PARENTS TO VISIT OR PARTICIPATE IN CAMP ACTIVITIES? Yes! Parents are always welcome and encouraged to watch.
