Our NEW LITERARY SALON showcases some of our amazing Pathways contributors, who are sharing their time, talents and publications. We have a full day of Author Talks, and they will be signing and selling their books. Join us!

10:30 am–12 pm Your Ancestors Have Waited Your Whole Life for THIS Moment... And You’re Next! Amy Gillespie Dougherty | Irigenics® Ancestral Eye Reading, irigenics.com Discover how your ancestors show up in your current life. Gifts, talents, unresolved traumas, bizarre accidents and repeat patterns can all be ancestral patterns. That means they’re available for expression (your gifts) or resolving (their traumas) and we’ll do just that during this workshop, including taking photos of your eyes to see ancestral images that show up on your cell phone. Amy Gillespie Dougherty is the award-winning author of The Ancestors Within book series and Journals, which introduce you to 101 ways to create interactive experiences with your ancestors. She’s the host of The Eyes Have it! Unlocking Your Ancestral Code with Amy on New Reality TV. She will be signing her books as well as explaining and answering questions about ancestral patterns during this event.

4:30 pm–6 pm For the Girls Who Do Too Much Khadijah Z. Ali-Coleman, Ed.D . Poet Laureate of Prince George’s County, MD, KhadijahAli-Coleman.com Reiki Master, educator, and writer, Dr. Khadijah Z. Ali- Coleman, shares her journey through personal loss, parenting, and job insecurity that led to her embrace of Reiki, her recognition of the power of writing, and her own intuitive powers that guide her daily in her work as a creative and community organizer. Ask questions, learn about her upcoming retreats for women over 40 and get inspired! Dr. Ali-Coleman is the founder of the multidisciplinary arts group Liberated Muse, an associate professor in the Humanities department at Coppin State University, and author of the poetry collections For the Girls Who Do Too Much and The Summoning of Black Joy . She is co-editor of the book Homeschooling Black Children in the US and the forthcoming book Homeschooling Black Children on a College Pathway . Books sold will support the 501(c)3 nonprofit Black Writers for Peace and Social Justice, Inc. followed by a live sound demonstration and Q&A, offering participants the opportunity to experience firsthand the transformative potential of sound. Ruslana will also be signing and selling her book, Activating Our 12-Stranded DNA: Secrets of Dodecahedral DNA for Completing Our Human Evolution , during the event. 1:30 pm–3 pm Sound Frequency Revolution: Merging Science, Spirit, and Transcendence Ruslana Remennikova | Inner Traditions Author, www.ruslanaremennikova.com Explore the science of sound frequencies and their growing integration into modern health systems. We will examine the powerful role sound frequency modalities play in promoting healing and well-being, taking a comprehensive approach that includes a transcendental perspective. Additionally, we will explore how sound frequencies are becoming an emerging tool in parapsychology, specifically in unlocking altered states of consciousness and understanding anomalous experiences. Kathy covers everything you need to know about seed saving, from selecting seeds for the best qualities to harvesting and storage. Also includes the challenges and rewards of seed saving. Your garden is a seed factory that should not go to waste! Learn how to collect and share that bounty! A MINI SEED SWAP will follow the seed saving talk— bring your extra seeds to trade, but no worries if you don’t have any. We’ll have plenty to share! Kathy will also be selling and signing copies of her two books, Groundcover Revolution and The Urban Garden: 101 Ways to Grow Food and Beauty in the City . Both books make great gifts for beginning and experienced gardeners.

Or, do you need new ways to get your group’s message across? Join several area poets to learn more about poetry’s magic. Kim B. Miller, Brian Donnell James, Christina Daub and Hiram Larew will demonstrate the captivating, nurturing power of poetry. They’ll also describe how they are helping to fight hunger locally and globally. And hey, you’ll also have time to write, so bring a pencil! Items will be sold by the poets to support an area food bank.
