Hello Delaware, I would like to open by thanking the Delaware Lions for the fantastic job with the outdoor rink. The weather conditions have remained favourable, resulting in high utilization of the rink. This is likely the Lion’s best rink construction since the project began. The Lions involved are Eric Cornelis, Matt Vanos, Paul Daigneault (who constructed the boards), Adrian Roes, Bob Lloyd, and Mike Ernewein. Craig Geerlinks of Komoka Kilworth Home Hardware donated all the lumber. Excellent job, Lions! The Middlesex Centre Archives are holding their annual Heritage Fair on March 29 at the Delaware Community Centre. Additional details 190 Wortley Rd. Free public skating is available thanks to contributions from various local businesses and community organizations. We also have special skating sessions on Family Day and over March Break. A list of sponsored dates is available at middlesexcentre.ca/skating. All participants must wear skates and a CSA-approved helmet. Your 2025 Interim Tax Bill should be in your hands and is due on February 28. This bill is an estimate and calculated based on 50% of last year’s bill. The subsequent tax bill will be revised following the finalization of the budget by the County of Middlesex. The Boards of Education had no change from last year. This concludes my update for the month. Feel free to email, call or text me. Also, check my Councillor Facebook page for updates in between issues.
