Invest Atlanta relaunched its successful Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) program, an innovative financing solution that helps commercial property owners make energy-efficient and sustainable improvements to their buildings. SUPPORTING ATLANTA’S CLEAN ENERGY GOALS A wide range of commercial property types qualify for C-PACE financing, including hospitality, retail, mixed-use and multifamily buildings. Property owners can choose from hundreds of eligible building improvements, including everything from windows and doors to roofing, solar panel arrays and HVAC units. In 2024, four projects received more than $13 million to help further the City’s clean energy goals, saving water and energy while eliminating more than 1 million pounds of CO2 emissions each year.

TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS

ATLinBusiness provides entrepreneurs with everything they need to plan, start, manage and grow a business. Featuring five small business resource centers, the online portal taps into a network of local business experts to provide no-cost, one-on-one business consulting and coaching services. The City of Atlanta and Invest Atlanta launched ATLinBusiness in 2022 with funding from the American Rescue Plan. Since its inception, the program has provided thousands of hours of no-cost technical assistance services to hundreds of Atlanta small businesses.

The Ali at Lakewood is one of four projects that received C-PACE financing in 2024. Using $1.17 million of private C-PACE financing, the minority-owned, 30,000-square-foot, mixed-use commercial building is undergoing a complete renovation, including high-efficiency upgrades that will generate more than $11,000 in annual energy and water savings and eliminate over 128,000 pounds of CO2 emissions each year.
