administered by Invest Atlanta, the Atlanta Open for Business Fund has injected a bolt of new energy into Atlanta’s thriving small business ecosystem. In addition to helping small business owners in Atlanta build wealth by investing in assets such as commercial space, equipment and technology, it has also supported racially and ethnically diverse business owners who were disproportionately impacted by the pandemic. Throughout the duration of the three- year program, small business owners have regained their footing, launched new ventures, purchased assets, made physical upgrades and received technical assistance. It’s a level of support that goes well beyond short- term financial aid to represent a catalyst for sustainable change – helping to close the wealth gap and fortify futures.
