n 2024 alone, Invest Atlanta financing has helped to add 2,475 units to the City’s goal. And, over the last five years, three out of every four dollars of Invest Atlanta investments have gone toward affordable housing, including senior, multifamily, single-family and mixed- income developments. I Housing affordability is one of the most important factors driving a strong economy and healthy communities and is a number one priority for the City of Atlanta. Invest Atlanta is working closely with Mayor Andre Dickens to achieve an ambitious goal to create and preserve 20,000 affordable housing units by 2030. Housing for All
Mixed-income communities help to stabilize communities because they often feature retail and commercial space that serve as neighborhood anchors. They also are the catalyst for a host of other social benefits that enhance quality of life, including increased access to schools, medical services and fresh food, along with lower crime rates and less displacement for legacy residents. Over the past five years, Invest Atlanta has helped to finance 131 developments.
