Michelman Adds Lori Gobris For Circular Economy Market Expertise Cincinnati, Ohio based Michelman announced that Lori Gobris has joined the company as its Global Marketing Manager for Circular Economy. Gobris will be responsible for Michelman’s global market strategy and programs that enable sustainable packaging solutions for the Circular Economy within its Printing & Packaging business seg- ment. She will lead Michelman’s efforts to continue to ex- pand and broaden solutions in the sustainable packaging market space in both fiber based and film-based solutions. Gobris brings with her nearly 30 years of paper and packaging experience, most recently as a Senior Market- ing Manager at Amcor. Before that, she held various tech- nical and marketing roles at Coating Excellence and IP. The company has been opening new markets for pa- per & film packaging since creating its first repulpable water-based coating over 50 years ago. Its current barrier & functional coatings for paper and film make it possible to develop recyclable, repulpable, and industrially com- postable packaging. They concluded that the study demonstrated the feasi- bility of using pomace as a new source of fiber in produc- ing molded pulp packaging and effective approaches to enhancing water resistance in those packaging materials.
