Experience views of Sioux Falls and Falls Park that haven’t been seen in more than 100 years. The Steel District —a Lloyd Companies development—started demolition in 2021, and in 2024 unveiled the new neighborhood blending a variety of upscale dining, unique retail, a high- end hotel, and contemporary living spaces. “The vision began years ago when Craig Lloyd and Steve Metli would meet to walk around Falls Park and pick up trash,” said Jennifer Seifert-Brenna , VP of hospitality at Lloyd Hospitality Group . This vision, Seifert-Brenna says, was reimagining the property where “modern sophistication meets the city’s rich heritage along the Big Sioux River.” One of the first phases was the office tower, including the Lloyd Companies headquarters. This offers one of a handful of dining options, Brioux Falls , with a grab-and-go food menu and gourmet coffee for professionals, visitors, and residents. Along with a variety of options for meeting spaces, Seifert-Brenna says other perks include the parking ramp (with 900+ spots), a fitness center, a glass skywalk, and other amenities. “The skywalk is a welcome treat in the cold months or on a rainy day, and the multiple restaurant and bar choices are great for small meetings or lunches with clients,” she said.
