Over the summer, The Marketing & Communications Committee met and discussed advertising rates in Anchorlines . We agreed to increase the rates slightly and provide members with reduced pricing benefits. All advertisers were notified of the increased rate, and only two have decided not to renew for the 2023 fiscal year.
In June, MIYC was approached to participate in the Best of Naples contest, sponsored by USA Today, in the Yacht Club category. We entered and encouraged members to vote for us daily through 2 email campaigns. As I write this, we are waiting to hear how we did! We have had requests for short videos on how to use the App and the website for making reservations. They should be ready by the time you read this newsletter. Watch for an email to let you know how to access them! Please let me know if you have suggestions for videos or other ways that might be helpful to other members! Speaking of the App, have you downloaded it to your phone? I think it’s fantastic and easy to use. Please let me know if you’d like a lesson, and we can Zoom or meet in person at the Club. And, one new feature has been added – you can now “sync” your reservations to your calendar on your phone. When looking at your reservations, click on the calendar inside the two arrows, and your reservations will download to your calendar on your phone!
Another nice feature – you can now send an email to your fellow members and friends when you add them to your reservation! If you include a member in your reservation, it will automatically populate their email. If you invite a non-member, you can add the email in the provided box. You can then check the “Send Email” box, and they will receive an “invitation” to join you! Another way we work to improve your experience when using the app.
