FEBRUARY 3, 2025, 4:00 PM SPEAKER SARAH KEARNEY “BLUE ZONES”

Sarah is the Executive Director of the Blue Zones project in Scottsdale. What does it take to live healthier and longer? Genetics plays a role, but lifestyle is a more reliable predictor. Five regions of the world have been designated as “Blue Zones,” where people have consistently lived to be over 100 years old. Individuals in these areas have been found to engage in activities and habits that lead to a higher quality of life as they age . . . All are welcome to this free event. No registration is needed. February 6, 2025, 3:00 PM A Grief Share Support Group will be held in the library for six weeks, beginning Thursday, February 6, from 3 to 4:30 PM. Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions. February 7, 2025, 7:00 PM Concert - Americana. Americana pays tribute to the music of the 60’s and 70’s. You’ll hear music from the Mamas and Papas, Simon and Garfunkel, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Carole King, Credence Clearwater, Linda Ronstadt, and more. You can purchase tickets for $40 at the church office Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, or at the door. Cash, check, or use your Rio or Tonto Country Club account. February 27, 2025, 4:00 PM Speaker - David Danford “Free Online Courses for Lifelong Learners” Hillsdale College was founded in 1844 with a mission to provide “all who wish to learn” the education necessary to preserve civil and religious liberty in America. Hillsdale’s founders understood, like the founders of our great nation, that free government requires independent, virtuous, and knowledgeable citizens. This tour takes a deeper dive into three works of art on campus. Participants are encouraged to slow down, look closely, and share their thoughts and perspectives.
