Dear members, We appreciate your continued support and cooperation as we strive to enhance your community experience.
PICKLEBALL UPDATE - Our Tonto Verde pickleball community has grown to nearly 100 players, with more joining every week. Through our Beginner Orientation program, we aim to introduce nearly 200 residents to the sport by the end of February. If demand continues, additional orientation sessions will be offered in March. Curious about pickleball but don’t have the gear? No worries! Grab your family or friends and head to the courts—paddles and balls are available just for new players. You'll find paddles in the gray storage compartment and balls in the holders at the courts. Just be sure to wear comfortable athletic clothing and supportive tennis shoes. Also, check out our Beginner Orientation sessions under the Lifestyle | Events Regsitration and sign up now! COMMUNITY PARK UPDATE - Thank you to everyone who adhered to our request not to park along Forest while we wait for the roadway to be completed. Unfortunately, Maricopa County is still reviewing final submittals on this work and forced the contractor to reschedule it once again. The work is now scheduled for February 21st —27th. Please continue to use the cart path from the end of Desierto Drive to the Blue Sky pathway.
TRAFFIC SAFETY REMINDER - The Association receives many complaints about members, guests and contractors speeding and failure to stop at stop signs.
This topic was presented to the House & Grounds Committee to review and provide a response to address this growing concern of traffic safety. To address these concerns, the House & Grounds Committee is reviewing solutions to enhance safety within our community. KEY TRAFFIC RULES: Speed Limit: 25 mph for all vehicles, including golf carts. Stop Signs Are NOT Optional: Come to a complete stop before proceeding. Use Signals: Always use turn signals or hand signals before turning. Golf Carts Yield to Cars & Pedestrians: Golf carts must yield to cars at intersections and stop for pedestrians in crosswalks. Valid Driver’s License Required: A valid license is necessary to operate a car in the community. Be Aware of Wildlife: Watch for deer, coyotes, and other animals cros vent in our community calendar 2 | ASSOCIATION Cont. pg. 3
After evaluating multiple systems, we have chosen “YourCourts” as our pickleball scheduling and reservation platform. This system will help us efficiently manage general open play, skill-level play, special events, and
member court reservations at designated times each day. Its flexibility allows us to adjust the weekly schedule to best serve the evolving needs of our pickleball community. YourCourts will officially launch in February.
