Born and raised in Westbury, New York, she attended Eastern Connecticut State University where she played lacrosse and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications in 2009. She worked for several years before deciding to go back to school and went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University in 2015. During her time spent at Stony Brook University, Dr. Natalie worked in various settings, including hospital-based, two outpatient orthopedic facilities, and a canine rehabilitation rotation. These different settings have allowed her to expand her manual based skills and prepared her to treat a wide range of conditions. Following graduation, Dr. Natalie continues to learn and grow as a clinician through education courses and has become certified in various ventures. Natalie became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner in June 2016 through the University of Tennessee and a Certified Veterinary Assistant in December of 2017 through San Juan College. She earned a certification as a Bar Method Fitness Instructor in February of 2018. Natalie also became a Certified Running Technique Specialist in May of 2018 through the POSE method. She has also attended courses in Functional Mobilization through the Institute of Physical Art, Kinesiology Taping, Manual Therapy & Neuromuscular Re-Activation through Summit Professional Education, Running Medicine at the Harvard Sports Medicine Conference and the Science of Running Medicine Conference at the University of Michigan. Natalie and her husband, Thomas, have a passion for animals and have four dogs at home, three of which were adopted from Little Shelter Animal Rescue & Adoption Center in Huntington. They also bring one of their rescue dogs for weekly visits to the VA Hospital and a nearby elementary school as a therapy dog.
