FMB to attend key industry events RCI Show The FMB’s Chief Executive, Brian Berry, will be a key speaker at the Roofing Cladding & Insulation (RCI) Show, which takes place at Stadium MK Milton Keynes on 24 October. The RCI Show is the largest event in the UK for the roofing, cladding and insulation supply chain, and Berry’s presence presents a powerful opportunity to raise the voices of FMB members in the sector. Berry, alongside other industry experts, will be involved in a panel discussion on the government’s plans for the industry, including its target of one and half million new homes, and what it aims to achieve with the recent establishment of Skills England.

Lighthouse Club sees surge in demand The FMB’s national charity partner, The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, has released its 2023 Impact Report , revealing a significant uptick in demand for their services. Key findings:

London Build 2024 The FMB will have a stand at London Build 2024, with a number of key FMB staff members speaking on panel discussions and presenting on topics such as the Building Safety Act and the FMB’s Building Work Guarantee (previously called Insurance Backed Guarantee). London Build 2024, which runs from 20-21 November at Olympia London, is set to be the biggest iteration of the event yet, doubling in size and being held over both Grand and National Halls at the venue. More than 35,000 attendees – including various representatives from the government – attend to learn of industry innovations and to hear from thought leaders speaking about important issues affecting UK construction. The FMB’s presence is vital to communicate the policies needed to boost construction output and how SME housebuilders are a key part of this.
