The Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills (CARS) training benefits students in navigating the rigorous STEM curriculum needed to progress to professional school. Students will participate in CARS training emphasizing problem-solving and test-taking skills. This is preparation for the MCAT and the DAT entrance exams. Kaplan is the current provider for this training. Mentoring in Medicine (MIM) provides a curriculum that will increase students’ competitiveness for entry into medical school. The MIM curriculum includes Skills, Social and Emotional Intelligence Building, Leadership Development, Personal Fund Development Strategies, Biomedical Industry Work-Based Learning Opportunities, Mentoring, and Patient Training.
