Fraternity] has been so important to these two women who are so important to me, and I wanted to experience that for myself. I’m also in a different phase of my life now, and as I approach retirement, being involved in such an organization is very important and I love having the opportunity to be able to serve my sisters and my community. What are you most looking forward to now that you’re a member of the Fraternity? I’m most excited about truly participating and finding the place where I can share the things I’m good at and will benefit the organization. What advice would you offer other women considering joining Alpha Phi as alumnae? First of all, do it! It’s a wonderful opportunity to serve. It’s a great way to enrich your life.
Risa Marshall Who sponsored you? My daughter, Sarah Marshall (Epsilon Rho-UC Davis)
What made you want to join Alpha Phi at this phase of your life? I’m just honored to be a part of a group of such strong, positive, wonderful
women. Similarly to Susan Gilchrist, I’m at the age of retirement, and this seems like a meaningful organization to be a part of in this phase of my life. What advice would you offer other women considering joining Alpha Phi as alumnae? Do it! We’re discovering what we will do in this next stage of our lives, and I’m excited to do that with this new support system and with all of my new sisters.
Dorina Timbol Who extended you a bid to join Alpha Phi? My friend, Laura Jen Kin Berger (Gamma Kappa-CSU Long Beach)
What made you want to join Alpha Phi at this phase of your life? I wanted to join Alpha Phi because it has always been a bucket list item in my life.
