SUPPORT THE LOCALS Open every Saturday from the end of spring to throughout the summer and fall months, the Downtown Evanston Farmers Market hosts more than 50 vendors. Free parking is available for those who want to browse the variety of produce, baked goods and original artwork for sale behind the Hilton Garden Inn. Enjoy the outdoor summer weather while giving back to the Evanston community.

TAKE IN THE VIEW The Grosse Point Lighthouse was built in 1873 to guide boats into Chicago after a series of maritime disasters. It’s on the National Register of Historic Places and is still an active lighthouse with a beacon range of 18 nautical miles. Don’t miss the chance to enjoy the panoramic view 113 feet above Lake Michigan!

Stop Three

SPOT URSA MAJOR Kick off a weekend in Evanston with stargazing at Dearborn Observatory! On Friday nights, Northwestern’s very own astronomical observatory opens to the public for tours free of charge. Look through one of the few remaining refracting telescopes still in use to view stars and planets in the night sky.

Stop Four

JAM OUT Wowing audiences for the past 16 years, Evanston SPACE is an innovative live music hall that seats 240 people around its candle-lit cabaret tables. From The Lumineers to Nick Lowe, both local and national tours are sure to stop by during your stay. SPACE also has a recording studio for artists to use. Memorable performances await!
