Austin Area Alumnae Support Local Omega Chapter As the spring semester reached its end and many graduating seniors prepared to enter the alumnae chapter, the Austin Area Alpha Phi Alumnae chapter embodied the High Ideal of sisterhood by supporting the Omega Chapter at the University of Texas. “In both the spring and fall semesters, we offered a fun and fabulous Study Bag for parents to purchase to help their Phis prepare for final exams,” said Jacki James, the Austin Area Alumnae Chapter President. “Each bag contained snacks, study materials and a branded item. This year, the collegiates received Alpha Phi phone chargers and wristlets." Additionally, to celebrate the graduating seniors, the Austin Area Alumnae hosted a Senior Celebration at La Mancha, a local Tex-Mex restaurant, where they honored 16 soon-to-be graduates and welcomed them into the alumnae chapter. Way to go, Austin Area Alumnae! Keep up with this alumnae group on Facebook at www.facebook.com/alphaphiofaustin.
Milwaukee Alumnae and Collegians Strengthen Their Sisterhood Eta Mu-Marquette , located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, prioritized alumnae relations this year to strengthen its relationship with the local Alpha Phi alumnae chapter. They did so by collaborating on events – including a successful blood drive in honor of women’s heart health and the chapter’s annual Red Dress Gala – and facilitating more frequent communications between alumnae and collegians. Additionally, members of the Alpha Phi Milwaukee Alumnae Chapter also attended Eta Mu’s initiation. "Strengthening our relationships with alumnae brings invaluable knowledge and unique experience to our chapter, improving health and success in the long term," said Eta Mu Chapter President, Morgan Wiberg. "Their involvement in chapter events creates a sense of continuity and tradition, reinforcing this idea that our sisterhood [lasts a lifetime]."
