The Spring Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, 15 March at Arlington. The sign-up sheets will be posted on the bulletin boards in the ladies locker rooms. If you didn’t have a chance to play in the ANCC championships last year, you’re new to the club, or want to show what improvements you’ve made year, you should consider playing in the two-day ‘A’ Team tryouts which will be held on Saturday, 12 March and Sunday, 13 March at Fairfax. If you can play both days that would be great, but not necessary. At the completion of the two tryouts, the team roster for Spring 2016 will be decided. WGO-18 (Women’s 18-hole) New members are welcome at any time during the year. For more information, contact Debbie Dawson, debbie.dawson@comcast.net . Winter Golf, December through March, is now under way. For more information, contact Barbara Drake, bdrake409@gmail.com . In 2016, league play will be scheduled on Tuesdays at Arlington and Fridays at Fairfax. In April, May, September and October tee times for play days will be from 8:30 - 10:30 AM. In June, July, and August tee times will be from 8:00 - 10:00 AM. Play Day Information: Initially, sign-up sheets are available at the Spring Luncheon. Thereafter, tee time sign-up sheets will be available in the Pro Shops. Play is in foursomes. For general information about WGO-18, please click here . 2016 Men’s ‘B’ Team & Qualifying The ANCC Men’s “B” Team competition begins late April and is a great way to meet other ANCC members. The ‘B’ Team is open to all men with course handicaps ranging from 5 to 16. Matches are held on Saturdays and/or Sundays from late April thru July with playoffs going from August thru October. WMGA Senior Men’s ‘A’ Team The 2016 Washington Metropolitan Golf Association Senior ‘A’ Team competition matches will begin in April and continue into the first part of May as needed. Selection criteria for the team matches will be based on the 1 April 2016 handicaps. All matches are played at scratch. If you have a handicap of 6 or below and are interested, please contact the team co-captains, Bill Engel at 703-899-0091 ( bengel1002@aol.com ) or Peter Jacobi at 571-276-6256 ( petergeezergolf@comcast.net ). ANCC Golf Tournament Eligibility for 2016 All golfers participating in ANCC golf tournaments are required to have an established USGA handicap with a minimum of 12 scores posted in the past 12 months to be eligible for the tournaments. Any guest playing in a member - guest tournament that do not have a verifiable USGA handicap is subject to playing from scratch.
