Eliminate Stress for Your Heirs With ‘My Last Gift’ PLANNING AHEAD Estate Planning | Probate | Guardianships for Your Life Chapters
Over the years, I’ve helped many people with their estate planning needs. Estate planning is more than just creating a will and leaving assets to your heirs or loved ones. It is a gift that gives everyone greater peace of mind about what will happen in the future. It’s a joy when I can work with a new client to help them get their affairs in order and create an estate plan, but too often, they don’t take the next step to get everything organized. That’s why I decided to write my most recent book, “My Last Gift: An Essential End of Life Planner.”
beginning the process, they might have found a mess of unorganized papers. This quickly leads to overwhelming feelings of stress and anxiety when they should be using this time to grieve. Whenever someone follows the steps as outlined in “My Last Gift,” you can see less stress. They sit up straighter and know their loved one was looking out for them, leaving them a significant gift. The information you’ll record in your copy of “My Last Gift” includes vital details about essential documents, finances, personal property, and pertinent information that will lessen confusion and reduce the burden on their heirs. Not only will filling out the information in “My Last Gift” minimize stress for your heirs and loved ones, but it will also address any overwhelming feelings you may have about what information to put together. You’ll find answers to all your questions in my easy-to-navigate book. I worked diligently to break down the tasks into manageable sections so it doesn’t feel like you’re just filling in the blanks. This book will be your and your loved ones’ road map to ensure your final wishes are met. Zeitgeist, an imprint of Penguin Random House, will publish “My Last Gift,” which you can get on Amazon starting on Oct. 1. The book is available for presale if you want to beat the rush and reserve your copy early. If
It’s nice to have an estate plan in place for your heirs, but sometimes, they have to search high and low to find certain assets. Sometimes, there is no record of the asset, which makes it difficult for the heirs to discover it. If they never find it, the asset could go to unclaimed property. “My Last Gift” will allow you to organize and record all of your assets while helping your heirs find everything you worked so hard to obtain and leave for them. It’s the final step in getting your entire estate plan in order. I’ve worked with family members who visited my firm after one of their loved ones had passed away. When
you purchase the book, please leave a review and tell me your thoughts! I’d love to know how “My Last Gift” is helping you and your family gain peace of mind about the future!

As a primary caregiver for an elderly person, you learn the details of the person’s life. You learn their favorite foods, outfits, photos, places to visit, music, and so much more. You also learn their daily routines, habits, things that may cause them distress, and things that provide a sense of calm and peace. You have a unique window into their world. But what happens when you go on much needed and deserved respite or are no longer able to provide care? A temporary or new caregiver will not have your unique view and the person to whom you provide care may get upset, stressed or anxious when the new caregiver does not know the normal routine. How can you help? A favorite things list. Grand Teton Feel like going for a swim? Grand Teton National Park wanted everyone to feel welcome to cool off in the 1,200-acre Jenny Lake, so they built a path that allows wheelchair users to roll into the water. Nearby, Teton Adaptive Sports hosts climbing trips, so nobody has to abandon their dreams of conquering the cliffs. Yellowstone This national park is one of the country’s best, with over 90% of visitors reporting never needing to leave their car. For adventurers with injuries, age-related mobility issues, or other disabilities who want a closer look, most of the thermal features Yellowstone is famous for are easily accessible due to its excellent boardwalk system. The accessibility changes made by these parks are a significant step toward ensuring our national treasures are inclusive for all who wish to experience nature’s wonders. Through innovative solutions like sand-friendly wheelchairs, cave elevators, and special driving permits, these parks give outdoor access to even more people.
