Christ is with us when we are all by ourselves, so we need never feel lonely; and He is also with us in the midst of the crowd—so we need never feel afraid ? You may take Him into every experience* of your life, if you will only take Him into your heart. a- D-M 9 • u ►•’¿I
less, we do well not to assume that we know all that can be known about its mighty visions. 5. “Came out of great tribulation” (v. 14). Literally, the phrase may be rendered, “ Came out of tribulation, the great one.” The reference is tb a specific tribulation, the one of which Christ spoke, the only one of its kind, the one which is still future. Golden Text Illustration y R evelation 4:8 When Lincoln had been assassinated, and word of the tragedy came to New York, “ the people were in a state of mind which urged violence.” A man ap peared on the balcony of one of the newspaper offices waving a sqpall flag, and a clear voice rang through the nir: “Fellow citizen?; IT. • ■nnd darkne' s are round about Him. His pavilion is dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies. Justice and judgment are the habitation of His throne. Fellow citizens, God reigns!” . . . Lincoln had been as sassinated, but God lives! Human con fusion does not annihilate His Throne. God liveth!—From J. H. Jowett, in the Christian Herald. In a Crowd S.EVELATION 7:9-17 MEMORY VERSE: “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee” (Psa. 56:3).. APPROACH: Are'you afraid of any thing ? What ? Somd* people are afraid of the dark. Is God in the dark? Some people are afraid to be alone. Last Sun day we found that we are never alone if we know Christ. Sometimes babies are frightened in a crowd. Do you think you would be lonely or frightened in a crowd ? Do you remember the first time you stood up to recite a piece? Wasn’t it just a little terrifying to look at so many faces? The next time wè are afraid, let us repeat our memory verse: “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee” (Psa. 56:3). LESSON STORY: We learned last Sunday that John received some wonder ful visions on the isle of Patmos. One of the things that he saw was a great crowd—a multitude so large no man could count the people. Who do you think were in that crowd? They were those who had washed their robes and made them, white in the blood of the Lamb; and they were before the throne of God serving Him day and night in His temple. John was not frightened nor alone in that crowd, for he, too, had washed his robes in the blood of the Lamb. It was his crowd; he belonged there. It makes a great deal of differ ence who makes up the crowd in which we find ourselves. Christian people need never feel strange nor lonely when they are with other Christians, for they all love the same Person, and that makes them love one another. Isn’t it wonderful to know that Jesus

For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living foun tains of waters.” Carl now realizes that he needs to be led ,bv Christ as well as to be saved by Him.
