Il affi- chait une détermination peu ordinaire pour atteindre les objectifs qu’il se fixait, mais ses priorités étaient d’ordre personnel : sa famille, l’école, le sport et ses amis. Mais le diagnostic de cancer des os — un ostéosarcome logé juste au-dessus du genou —, l’amputation subsé- quente de sa jambe et son expérience dans les services d’oncologie pour enfants ont tout changé. La découverte de son sens aigu de la compassion combinée à sa détermination inébranlable de mettre un terme aux souffrances engendrées par le cancer ont mené Terry sur une voie qui a tout simplement changé le monde.
