The Five Tools of Personal Bible Study

The third point is God’s punishment of man for being a sinner. It is severe

JUDGMENT . Romans 6:23 says the wages of sin is death. Revelation 20:15

tells us that anyone whose name was not found written in the Book of Life was

cast into the lake of fire. We help to remember sin and judgment with the

opposite of white, by using black .

The second pair of “essential elements” is about God . Having so great a love

for everyone and not willing to leave man in his sin and condemnation, He has

done 2 things for us:

The fourth point is that God sent His Son to be our SAVIOR , as told us in I

John 4:14.

The Savior has given us the fifth point , that being the GOSPEL . The gospel is

very simple and from I Corinthians 15:1- 4 is, “Christ died for our sins and rose

from the dead.” These can be shared by using the color red as a means of

reminding people of His shed Blood on the Cross for our sins.

For all that God did by giving to us His Son and the glorious Gospel, no one is

yet saved!

The third pair of “essential elements” goes back to man . God did

everything that was necessary for man to be saved through His Son, by Christ’s

death and resurrection . God places two requirements upon all people

everywhere:

The sixth point is that man must turn to God and REPENT . He must turn

from his sins and from whatever he counted on before for his righteousness.

Acts 17:30 says that God commands all people everywhere to repent.

The seventh point is to BELIEVE upon the Savior and the gospel. Romans

10:13 says that anyone who will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.

John 3:16 says it best. We should emphasize to people how Christ died for their

sins and rose from the dead! Since man is dead in his trespasses and sins, we

employ blue .
