and the Holy Spirit is declared to be God (Acts 5:3-4). From Genesis 1:26 to 1
Peter 1:2, the Bible often places the Trinity (God the Father, God the Son, God
the Holy Spirit) together within the same passage.
God The Son
Jesus the Messiah is known as ‘The Word’. He was with God the Father at the
beginning of existence and was fully God at the beginning as well. ‘The Word’
became flesh in the person of Jesus, and He was affirmed to be the Son of God
through His resurrection from the dead. Jesus is now at the right-hand of God
the Father. He is our blessed hope, and He will appear one day in the future,
establishing an eternal kingdom on a renewed earth and within a renewed
heaven.
It was Jesus’ suffering once for our sins that makes it possible for us to be
brought into a relationship with God. Being completely sinless, Jesus was able
to serve as the ‘lamb of God , ’ able to take away the sins of the world. And being
completely human, Jesus is able to identify with all temptations experienced by
people, while remaining sinless Himself.
