Man
God created man in His own image and combining both male as well as female
attributes is required to capture a more complete picture of ‘the image of God’.
Man has a spirit, soul, and body.
Man is:
… a spirit being dwelling in a physical body
… created in God’s image having intellect, emotions, will and a unique
personality Gen.1:26-27
… consists of b ody, soul, and spirit I Thess.5:23 (Body Gen.2:7, Soul = The
real you, Spirit = that element that gives us life, Eccl.12:7, Job 12:10, 27:3,
33:4, 34:14-15)
Satan
Sometime prior to the events of Genesis 3, an angel known today as Satan led
a rebellion in heaven against God. God judged Satan and the evil angels that
joined in his rebellion. God removed the evil angels from heaven to eventually
exist eternally in the lake of fire.
Satan has:
… an origin Isa.14:12-15, Ezek.28:11-15
… a role today as a deceiver, liar, accuser, a god of this age, and a blinder of
people 2 Cor.4:4, I Jn.5:19, Eph.2:2
… an eternal destiny Mt.25:41, Rev.20:10
