The Church :

… is an assembly of called-out people

… is led by pastors and deacons I Tim.3:1-13

… observes baptism and the Lord’s Supper Mt.28:19+20, I Cor.11:23-32

… administers church discipline I Cor.5:1-13

… has a mission and purpose to make God known to all peoples through

Christ and the Gospel Mt.28:18-20, Mk.16:15, Lk.24:47, Jn.20:21 & Acts 1:8

… does good to the less fortunate; widows, orphans, poor, prisoners, disabled

and ill

The Bible

The Bible is a written record of how God spoke at various times and in various

ways through both the prophets and His Son. Prophecy never came about

through the will or thoughts of any man, but only through men who were

moved by the Holy Spirit to say and write what they did.

The Bible :

… is the Word of God and came by means of revelation , is understood by

illumination , came word by word by verbal, plenary (meaning complete)

inspiration , and is kept for us to today by preservation 1 Cor.2:8-14, Rom.

3:2

… is i nspired. It came from God (2 Tim. 3:16), came through holy men of God

(2 Pet.1:20-21), by the Holy Spirit (1 Pet.1:10-12)
