The North Broward County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated has reached a milestone this year. We are celebrating 30 years of providing meaningful programs and services. Since 1994 we have added value to the North Broward community through Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, and Social Action. Thank you for partnering with us as we crown our next Little Miss Delta Doll and Miss Delta Doll. We are in our 5th Year of the Delta Doll Program which started in 2016 with the first Pageant held on March 4, 2017. The program was suspended for a few years, due to COVID. The Delta Dolls Program is designed for girls between the ages of 4-10. The program focuses on leadership Greetings from our President

development, etiquette, cultural experiences, character development, and social justice. The program serves as a fundraiser, whereby proceeds supports our programs, services, and scholarships that the chapter provides to the community. It culminates with the Delta Doll Pageant, whereby we crown Little Miss Delta Doll (4-7) and Miss Delta Doll (8-10). To celebrate our 30th Anniversary, we wanted to take our young ladies on a journey and their theme this year was “Oh, The Places You Will Go!” This year has been about exposure. Exposing them to their history. Exposing them to the world and cultures around them. Exposing them to the idea that they are their ancestor’s wildest dream! There is no way possible that we could have made the impact that has been made in the lives of these young girls without the support of our Community Partners, Sponsors, Chapter Members, Parents, Family Members, and Friends. It takes a village to make a mark that can never be erased. On behalf of the North Broward County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, THANK YOU! It is my honor to greet you as the 2023-2024 Chair of Delta Dolls. Over this course of this youth program, I have had the opportunity to witness each Doll express themselves, showcase their talents, bond with one another, and learn about the traits a Delta Doll and a young lady should possess. Each Doll has displayed virtuous traits such as love, compassion, kindness, generosity, and genuineness. Over the course of the program, each Doll learned how to embrace one another regardless of different backgrounds, cultures, hobbies, and personalities. It is important that we impart into the lives of the younger generations. It is our duty to teach them, motivate them, encourage them, support them, and pour into them so they can be the best versions of themselves as they grow older. Each and every one of these Delta Doll are beautiful! They can do anything they put their mind to. I challenge all parents to allow these young ladies to express themselves and be who they are unapologetically. I would like to extend my thanks to: Soror President, Dr. Nethel Stephens; Delta Dolls Co-Chair, Soror Zariah James; Fundraising Chair, Soror Linda Evans-Coach; Fundraising Co-Chair, Soror Shanile Wyche; Soror Trac- ey Kennedy-Foster, Financial Secretary, along with all Sorors of the North Broward County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for making this program such a success. Additionally, I would like to extend my thanks to all parents, guardians, grandparents, family members, vendors, for the dedication and support that has been provided each step of the way through the Delta Dolls youth program.
