Sasha Harrison
Head of the Policy and Research, Broadcasting Commission of Jamaica
Sasha Harrison is an Economist and the Head of the Policy and Research Department at the Broadcasting Commission of Jamaica. In this role, she manages an innovative research programme covering all areas relating to electronic media which is integral to the evidence-based policy recommendation needed to support industry development as well as the protection of vulnerable citizens. Outside of work, Sasha is an Educator and a Kiwanian as she enjoys contributing to the development of Jamaican youth through lecturing, mentorship, empowerment and advocacy. Sasha holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Actuarial Science with First Class Honours (2012), a Master of Science Degree in Economics with Distinction (2014) and a Post-graduate Diploma inEducation with Distinction (2016), all from the UWI Mona. She also holds a Master of Science Degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill (2018).
