Now that you have drawn in the main cables, you can consider cable splits and extension cords. The CC-2 cable connector lets you easily split one of the main cables, letting you reach all fixtures. The extension cords are perfect for powering fixtures that cannot easily be reached with a main cable. All of the cables in your cable plan can end anywhere in the yard and do not need to form a closed system.
You’ve now completed your entire cable plan, including any cable splits and extension cords. It is important to check that the transformer and individual cables are not overloaded. Add up the VA values of the fixtures once again and check that the total sum is not higher than the VA value of your transformer. We also recommend dividing the output of your lighting plan over the various cables.
