Adopt a Meal

program.

2023 VOLUNTEERS OF THE YEAR

In honor of our 20th Anniversary, we proudly recognized and celebrated the

dedication of three Buddy volunteers: Erik Snyder, Jordan Karem and Obi

Ugochukwu. Erik,

Jordan and Obi have spent countless hours uplifting and mentoring

our Kate’s Club members. Thank you, Erik, Jordan and Obi!

"For dealing with grieving children and the topic of death, Kate’s Club is one of the most positive, enjoyable, and rewarding experiences someone could have the pleasure of helping with. There are many reasons I keep coming back, but the only one that really matters is because the kids deserve it." -Erik “Kate’s Club has been a part of my life since I first started attending as a kid, after my dad died in 2011. I love that I have gotten the chance to also come back and volunteer as a buddy! I look forward to program days every month. It has been such a joy to develop relationships with the kids and watch them grow up!” -Jordan “I view the set of things that Kate’s Club stands for – compassion, empathy, an appreciation of life’s ups and downs – as one of the load-bearing ‘pillars’ of my life. Specifically, I think Kate’s Club’s emphasis on bringing death out of the shadows and into the light is unspeakably important.” -Obi
